  2. Thank you Felix.
I really think this WoGE is too easy, but the other alternatives I had were maybe too close to impossible. I have become interested in fluvial processes of late, and found some nice landforms in Siberia. But identifying the right place up there was so hard that I sometimes couldn't find my spot again without using records, so I decided to go for something more well known. ;)

  3. More than 24 hours, and no activity.

    Hint: It's not in Norway.

This is part of the Sierra Ferrera in the Pyrenees mountains of northern Spain. On the western end of the range is the impressive Peña Montañesa with cliffs that rise high above the Valle del Cinca.
The range is formed by a klippe of hard limestone that was placed above softer and younger sandstone and marl by an overthrust fault during the formation of the Pyrenees. Erosion by glaciers then formed the deep valley that separates the Sierra Ferrera from the higher mountains to the north. (My understanding of geology is limited, so corrections to the statement above are welcome.)

  5. Sorry. I had not noticed that a hint to this WOGE had been given in a separate post. Congratulations to Chripstopher Alphons, who had already solved this edition in the comments there.
